With over 100 years of experience behind us, Granite Mountain Stone Design is the Central Valley's premier full-service granite company. Our story dates back to 1890, with a hardworking stone-cutter, Henry Alexander, and one stone quarry. Today, our parent company, Cold Spring Granite Company, remains in the Alexander family, and has developed as the largest quarrier and supplier of granite in North America. Over 30 quarries across the United States and Canada, including our two local quarries, Sierra White and Academy Black. An accomplished list of projects including the Korean War Memorial in Washington, D.C. and the Bank of America skyscraper in San Francisco. As the leading quarrier, supplier, and fabricator of natural stone, Cold Spring Granite recognized the need to supply residential and commercial customers with quality countertops, delivered with uncompromising quality and service and exceptional value. Granite Mountain Stone Design opened its doors in Fresno in 2001 to fulfill that need. In partnership with Central Valley native, Mark Mansfield, Granite Mountain Stone Design offers the personalized service and attention to detail of a locally owned company, with the experience, state-of-the-art equipment, purchasing power ( i.e. thousands of slabs imported from world-wide and kept in-stock ), and expertise that can only come from the nation's leading granite company.
