Provided by YP.comIf you're a fine wine aficionado with a nose only for the most elite wines of Borduex or Napa Valley, stay away. But for those who like good-old country style, non-clarified fruit wines, this is your place. With a choice of several sweet fruit wines to include Apple, Peach, and Margarita, Mad County has a wine for your taste.
Sold in liter mason jars, these wines are un-clarified and have a sweet but slightly yeast taste, not unlike the German Federweisser, but with a higher alcohol content resulting in a slow yet mellow buzz.
With Alabama being one of the last states to embrace the craft beer and wine industry, these guys are only one of eleven wineries in the state, and one of only a few producing old time farm style sweet fruit wines in the South. Worth a visit and a taste. And even if you don't like their wines yourself, a jar of their wine would make a great give for someone you know.
