This review is for the Old Saybrook location that I just went to today for the first and last time. I've never had such a humiliating experience at a salon. I booked a waxing on a whim and half way through the remarkably painful waxing, the employee told me that she could not finish and that I would have to shave and come back.



Then, she left for five minutes to discuss the situation with someone (I never saw a manager, so I have no idea who it was), came back, and said actually it was because she didn't allow enough time for the appointment and had another customer waiting. So, she left me covered in wax, bruised, and humiliated. Rather than apologizing, the receptionist charged me only for a bikini wax after the waxer had said that I wouldn't have to pay.



I ended up going to the Madison location so that someone could finish the job, and they obliged. However, they tried to charge me for another bikini wax after the previous receptionist had promised that I would just be charged for the difference in cost between a bikini and brazilian.



The entire process was painful, humiliating, and I wasted two and a half hours of my Saturday. I can't believe how much money I shelled out for having to waste my time and travel around the shoreline. The only redeeming factor was Courtney, the Madison waxer, who is excellent and professional. Sadly, I will never return to this salon because of the overall unprofessional atmosphere and the lack of managerial involvement.

so so, nothing special. I could find better services at lower prices elsewhere.
