MP Pumps, founded in 1942, is a subsidiary of Tecumseh Products Company. It designs, engineers and manufactures centrifugal pumps for a wide variety of applications. The company produces a wide range of products, including hydraulic motor drives, end suction pumps, and alternate and direct current motor drives. The company s laboratory facilities include dynamometers up to 125 horsepower and two test cells for measuring impeller radial and thrust loads. MP Pumps has a more than 100,000-square-foot facility and stocks over 10,000 different parts. It has a computerized inventory control system that tracks various parts in the stock and also maintains a Web site for communication with its distributor network and customers.
