Provided by YP.comI have been trying to get a library card and have had no success. I use to have a card, but then I moved away. I came back and moved in with my parents. I went to the library and they told me that I had a fine. I paid the fine. The lady told me that I didn't need a card and that I could just use my license instead. What she did not tell me was that I was no longer in the system. I spent 3 hours at the library with a 4 year old picking out all these books only to not be able to check them out. I went an applied for the card only to be denied. How do you get denied for a library card? Let me tell you how. I am not on my mom's occupancy permit. She says well you can pay the $5 and then we can issue you the card. It suppose to show proof of residency. I thought that was what the drivers license and the voter registration card was for. The library is treating this card like it's a credit card. It is just a library card.
