I really enjoyed my meal at Ba...

I really enjoyed my meal at Bandung but the problems started when we received the bill. I ordered a meal that cost 15 and my boyfriend ordered a meal that cost 11 and we both drank water. We had a coupon for one free entre. Of course the waitress took off the entre that cost the least but then when we recieved the bill it had a bunch of scribbles on it with odd math. The bill was for 20 dollars so we assumed she had added on a tip. My boyfirend put down his card and she took the bill. When she brought back the receipt to be signed the bill now said 25 dollars. When I questioned the waitress about why we were now being charged an extra 5 dollars she said she had done the math wrong. Where we spent an extra 5 dollars in our meal I do not know but with further questioning she said because I substituted my side of Broccoli for a side of mixed veggies. I don't know what restaurant would charge 5 dollars for a substitution.

The funny thing is when we first arrived, a man at an ajacent table questioned his bill and the waitress took it back and redid the math and she was overcharging him.

Never will I ever be going back again.

I only tired this place becaus...

I only tired this place because i had a $50 coupon. The food was ok and we had to ask the waitress for everything: Drinks, appetizers, dessert. When it was time for the bill we made sure to tip well because the meal was practicly free even though the service wasnt very good at all. She treated us like we were a burden and since it was the end of the night it was obvious she just wanted to go home. When I got to my car and was about to drive off I was flagged down by our server saying we could only use one coupon at a time when it was listed nowhere on the certificate. I then went back in and explained that I dont think that its fair to charge me for something i had no control of. This they refused. Then I find out that there is a 18% gratudy already added to the bill. No where in the menu or on the bill says that they add that and on a party of 4!! I spoke to the manager for almost an hour and he refused to do anything about it and insisted I was lying because I was upset for not being able to use a gift certificate. Im sorry but i dont like to be called a liar when its them whos in the wrong. Very poor business ethics when they say we cant help what you dont know when it isnt listed anywhere. How am i to know when its not listed? Take my advice when this is not a good business.

Service is great & food is excellent

I really like Bandung. I guess it depends on what you order -- everything I've had there is excellent. I love the peanut sauce, which is more savory than the Thai version. Yum!
