Let me start out by saying that I'm an Apple guy. Superior product whether we're talking hardware or software. No question about it. Those who disagree are either too proud or too ignorant. That being said, I wanted to get a laptop for my 5 year old daughter and I wasn't going to spend big money (yes, I'll admit that Apple prices are outrageous) on a computer for a 5 year old. So, I went out on the Internet and picked up a refurbished Dell Latitude D600 loaded with Windows XP (sorry, I just threw up in my mouth) for two reasons: cost and game compatibility. I got her a bunch of educational games and she was off to the races. Until, the keyboard went whacky on us and made the laptop completely useless. My gut reaction was to take this junk laptop (which I am typing on right now, thanks to Bytesize Solutions) and throw it in my fire pit but my wife (being the voice of reason, as usual) asked me to try and get it fixed before I trashed it and went out and blew a grand on a Macbook. Being an Apple guy who owns products that never need service, I didn't know where to begin. So I jumped on Yellowpages.com and searched for local computer fix-it shops (you're probably doing the same thing if you are reading this review). There was no way I was going to take my computer to someplace like Best Buy. I wanted a local fix-it shop with geeky guys who really knew their sh1t. I called three different places and based on that phone experience, I decided to go with Bytesize Solutions. My expectations were exceeded, and then some. These guys were great. For starters, they offer a FREE estimate. For someone who does not want to invest much money in a crappy Windows machine, this was great. I had chatted with a couple other places in town who wanted $50 for an estimate. Blasphemy. So, they diagnosed the problem, fixed it within a reasonable amount of time and charged me what I deemed a reasonable amount of money. Their customer service was SUPERIOR to almost any customer service one could receive anywhere, not just computer stores. Their customer service is the reason I am taking time from my Sunday afternoon to write this review. I was extremely thrilled to work with these guys. There is no doubt that when my daughter or wife's PC's fail (and they will), I will take them to Bytesize Solutions. Again, great customer service, fair prices and timely results. I recommend this place to anyone who just needs their d@mn computer fixed! ; )
