Provided by YP.comI used the new groomer Leena for my newly adopted shelter dog. He has some issues but Leena was so kind and loving towards him I knew he was in good hands. I will defenately be going back to her!!

Provided by YP.comI can't say enough positive things about this place. They are prompt, extremely polite and when I watch the facebook feed the next day, I see nothing but my dog having the time of his life. The staff has given me training tips, and truely cares about my dog.
Personally? If I had a dog that had a phobia to hoses (which are used to keep common areas clean) I would consider it MY job to inform the staff.
Also, the ratio is 10-1. Very good ratio. Most others are not staffed that well. As far as the Alpha Dog model, well, let's see... This pecking order is instinctual and something your dog encounters every day.

Provided by YP.comI STRONGLY encourage anyone considering Central Bark to question the owner on his handling techniques. He admitted to me that they perform the alpha roll...a highly controversial, ineffective, antiquated and downright dangerous technique for "establishing dominance." When I picked my dog up after his first ever daycare experience, his head, face and neck were wet to the point I thought they had bathed him. So I asked if this was the case. No, the owner replied, "we sometimes spray the dogs' feet when they don't line up properly." But my dog's feet weren't wet...his FACE was. There was a bead of water rolling down his nose. They had clearly just sprayed him in the face. I was very upset -- my dog has an extreme fear of streaming water from a neighbor who (unbeknownst to me) found humor in terrorizing him with a hose when he was a pup. Central Bark took it upon themselves to use techniques on the dog's in their care without ever bothering to ask the owner or know the dog's history. When I questioned the owner on his approach to handling dog's, he was rude and indifferent. NEVER ONCE did he apologize, explain his dog handling techiques or offer to "make it right" as most reputable businesses would. Stay away from this place -- there are many, many better dog day cares in Madison to choose from.
