She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI and earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health - Madison. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI and went on to complete her fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health - Madison.
