I took two guitars to Lane's for service work one of them a Martin. I did so because Martin has him as a repair facility. When I took the items in he asked about work to be done. The martin was a warrant repair, the other was not.

He indicated a price that I understood to be $60 for it all, but was charged $150+ for the work. When he charged me he indicated that he had typed up a service order. I received no copy when the instruments were dropped off.

He told me it would be ready in three weeks. When I called to see if they were ready he said they were not and needed another two weeks. When I called again he was on vacation and would not return for several more days. I called him then and found out he had not started yet, and had not ordered the parts. I should have gone and picked them up right then. I didn't because of the good reviews. Well I am NOT HAPPY with the work he did.

The Hagstrom had a buzz that was obvious when I tried it in the store. So he spent another half hour fixing that problem.

The Martin looks like crap. He took of the pick guard and seems to have done more damage than good. I will send it back to the factory this time.

So, he did 2 weeks worth of work, it took him 6-7 weeks to do it. And seems to have done more bad than good. I will NEVER use him again.
