Provided by YP.comWhile it is large and has a decent selection, the central library is decrepit and creepy with far outdated claustrophobia-inducing architecture. It also carries far fewer items than I would expect from the main branch of a library for a city like Madison. It's very disappointing that the home of the main UW school, and a city which values learning and is known for its liberal values has such a shabby public library system. Plus, the main branch is sometimes open Sundays (during the school year), but other than that, NONE of the branches are open Sundays, and they're all only open until 4-5pm Saturdays. So much for serving the public...
