University Health Care, also known as UHC, is a nonprofit membership corporation that develops regional programs, clinical centers and business relationships with other health care providers. The corporation also negotiates managed care contracts with insurers, employers and other health care organizations. UHC holds more than 90 contracts to deliver primary and specialty health care services locally and regionally throughout the United States. It provides regional outreach programs to enhance relationships with regional physicians and health care professionals. It offers on-site clinical consulting, clinical program development, pharmacy management and educational services. UW Health, is an academic health system of University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation and University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
