For those seeking mental health care in Madison, DO NOT go to Westside Psychotherapy. I've been seeking care for the last few months from anxiety issues and recently went to my doctor to receive medical care as well as therapy visits.

I was prescribed medication to deal with my anxiety and it is well cited that this medication causes fatigue. I had to cancel an appointment due to the side effects and was charged a large fee. As I was raised with a "the worst thing they can say is no" mentality, I called to ask about an exception because it was medical-related. Thankfully, they reduced the fee. In the process, my therapist has ignored several of my emails.

As a man of color, it was difficult enough to get help for my mental health and to be abandoned by my mental health provider, who knows EVERYTHING I've been struggling with is super super insulting.

If you need mental health services in Madison, PLEASE seek care elsewhere. Your mental health is important, just not to Westside.
