In 1979, after over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Joe Impastato opened Impastatos in Metaire. Only 5 years before, his brother Sal opened Sal and Judys in Lacombe. Now the family of restaurants extends to Madisonville with the opening of Impastato Cellars on September 5, 2013. Joes daughter and son-in-law, after working with Joe for 20 years themselves, have decided to bring the same traditional, authentic Italian cuisine to the table along with the old world ambiance of a 600 square foot wine cellar featuring over 400 labels, in addition to a wide variety of spirits and craft beers.

Michael and Mica Capritto have a unique concept of choosing your favorite bottle from the cellar to bring to your table. This sets Impastato Cellars apart from other restaurants.

Stop reading this and go get some food!! :) Really it's that good .. The place is a little small (or quaint) and is tucked away near madisonville on it's own little lot. But who really cares about all that, I'll eat on a picnic table in the Southern Louisiana heat for good food - and when it comes to Italian food you will not find better pasta, authentic red sauce, amazing seafood dishes and the most amazing blueberry banana cream pie.
