Founded in 1986, Housing Families is one of the largest operators of affordable housing for homeless and low-income families in Massachusetts. It has helped more than 1,500 families since its establishment. The organization provides housing services to over 400 homeless people every day, including nearly 300 children. Housing Families also offers a range of academic and emotional support services, such as tutoring and counseling for self-esteem and skills development through its Children and Family Program. It operates approximately 00 units of transitional shelter. Its Stabilization Program provides flexible, personal and practical support services for families during and after their move from shelter.
