The Vanguard School is a nonprofit, state-licensed, academic day school serving more than 200 students in Paoli, Pa. It is a Pennsylvania-approved private school for special education selected by the state s Department of Education to provide educational services to children challenged with disabilities. Its education programs are organized into four segments, including prekindergarten, lower, middle and high schools. It provides additional support services, including speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapies, adaptive physical education programs, computer classes, life skills training, art and music. Its program of adventure-based counseling experiences is an adventure-based counseling program. It offers other programs, such as horseback riding, swimming and ski club.
