Provided by YP.comSomeone came out twice to identify the source of the leak. He thought it was a problem with caulking but I had to hire someone else to tighten the tub drain opening -- compression joints on the drain line showed obvious water leakage, and he was able to trace water stains to the drain opening. I asked HMS to reimburse the $175 service charge since they never identified the source of or fixed the leak. I was first guilted into reconsidering asking for this reimbursement because the plumber would be docked $175 from his paycheck. Then I was told flat out I was lying to them because they didn't receive the invoice I sent twice by email. Diana was horrifically rude and clearly unwilling to accept that the plumber made a mistake.

Provided by YP.comTerrible company, great way to waste your money!
The unprofessional technician who also turned out to be the manager came to my home, he never found the leak but still charged me for the search. He blamed it on everything under the sun: the landscaping, ground water, the A/C unit, the roof.. saying anything to hide the fact that he just didn't know what he was doing. Well, another company came out, found the problem and we are all happy now.
They will not give a refund for their employees incompetence; stating that he deserves to be paid for his time (even though he didn't find the problem, mind you!). I figure if I save just one person from getting ripped-off by this company, that's refund enough for me.
Buyer Beware!!!
Not true at all. She claimed that we were the fourth company to perform a leak search (no-one else could find any plumbing issues). The master plumber who went to her home has over 30 years of experience and has a particular nose for leak searches. He returned to her home on more than one occasion (at no additional charge) in order to gain access to neighbor's home as well. There were several holes in the drywall and the plumber cut drywall near the wetness along the sill plate. Drywall, insulation and sill plate were wet at the bottom only - no plumbing nearby. Ultimately, plumber discovered that a nearby drain line for a downspout was back pitched causing the rain water to flow back towards the slabs (these townhomes are built on slabs with no basement) and a neighbor had a leaking exterior hosebib. That's definitely a smoking gun for the water on the slab. She called back yesterday to claim that another plumber had found a leak in her neighbor's bathroom - that a nail had gone through a pipe. She stated she wanted the $175.00 refunded for the leak search since he had not found it. I told her I would need to share her story with the plumber and call her back. The story didn't add up to the plumber so he told me to ask her to provide a photo of the supposed area where the pipe was as well as the invoice for the plumber that performed the repair and we would check it out. I called her today and when I asked for these items she cut me off screaming "I'm gonna write about you all over the internet!" and hung up the phone. Just goes to show you that no matter how diligently you perform your work some people are determined to shake you down if they can get away with it. Beware of this customer.
