We have been here 4 times and the first 3 times were great experience. Service was fast and friendly. The food was tasty. Crab cakes are excellent, as well as the steak. This last time we were placed in the small dining room off the kitchen and bar as you come in the door. Not the best location for peaceful dining. Our server was slow to even come and take our order. Then my husband ordered a steak and she said, "onions and mushrooms on that?" He assumed they came with it but to our dismay, the bill came and we were charged $5 for onions and mushrooms on top the steak. Are you kidding me? Do you know how many onions you can buy for $5?!? Will try their Sunday brunch 1 time and then probably just go there for cheap draft beers and the occasional meal. What a disappointment this last time around.

Just came home from a valentines day dinner with a groups of friends. The whole meal took two hours with a waitress that never checked in and a owner that did not seem to concerned. I have been going here for the past 4 years, and since they expanded their dining room I can see service has gone down hill fast. The food was not as good as it used to be and the service was a joke. Ordered my second beer and it smelled funny and tasted like soap, order crab dip then run out of bread and then by the time we got the bread the crab dip was a cold pile of crap by that point. Wanted to order desert but after making reservations at 8pm and it was 10pm by the time we got out check we just said the hell with it. We ended up giving our checks to another waitress since ours was missing in action, then she was pissed when she came around the corner. At the end I asked to speak to the owner and he said "hope you come back again we will make it up to you next time".... After this meal we are done with this place and will be going to the Left Bank on George St. in York City next time since the service is always stable. If you want that typical half a$$ York County service I would reccomend the Conewago Inn... If you want a great service and an amazing meal go to the Left Bank....
