For manistee the food is good and there is a fairly wide varity such as steaks, burrito's, nacho's, sandwhiches, fish. You can either dine inside or outside on a deck that over looks the river. However the wait staff is rather poor because they are young girls that chatter alot and tend to talk to hometown friends that are drinking at the bar. If you want the waitress attention you might as well get up and walk up to her or flag her down with a wave because everytime I eat there no one asks If I need anything else. The restaurnt is rather dark inside and has an odd smell. They have 2 big screen tv's inside and on weekends they play music and sometimes have live bands.

Stopped in Manistee on a day trip to Travers city. Went in to the River St. Station and sat down at a booth across form the Bar. Within one minute our server handed us a menu. From that point forward she cleaned about 4 tables, served a couple more ..... So I started my watch and after about seven minutes she looked up and said OH ! because she noticed we were sitting at one of her tables. SEVEN minutes after that we left because we still had not been served. NOTE... there were 2 other servers in the bar which was not busy...... Maybe 12 people total. Must be that you have to be a local person to get served..... They should put that on there sign.
