Blue Skies Inn is located on 2.5 secluded acres with a year round stream, surrounded by hillsides of trees at the base of Pikes Peak. Our quaint village of Gothic Revival architecture holds ten unique 3-room suites hand-painted by an artist. We built our three cottages in 1996 to complement an 1871 Carriage House on an historic property. Privacy and quiet are our goals with separate entrances to our downstairs suites. A staircase takes guests directly to their upstairs suites. Every 450 sq. ft. suite has a spacious tiled bathroom, some with a giant tub - all have epic showers. As standard breakfast service, we deliver a full breakfast to each suite to enjoy in your sunny sitting room. Enjoy a romantic retreat, family vacation or garden wedding. Wedding Nightmare and a Control Freak! Will Never Work With Again!!! Didn't Get the Wedding I Wante
We found Blue Skies & fell in love w/ the gardens. We asked all the questions we had to make the day perfect(sand ceremony, can we bring favors, etc) all of which she said was fine. We paid our non-refundable $1,000 security deposit & she gave us a survey that would double as our contract. It gave us & her details of what we wanted at our wedding. It was then we found out EVERYTHING had a fee. We COULD do a sand ceremony, but we'd have to pay $25 additional to bring our own set. Favors were perfectly ok, but we'd have to pay an additional $25 to bring them in, set them up, & make sure that everything was cleaned up afterward or we'd have to pay more fees. Sally was extremely controlling. While the gardens & our room was beautiful. Working with Sally was a complete nightmare! I wanted calla lilies for my grooms boutonniere, she flat out told me no because they are fragile & hard to work w/ yet my wedding bouquet had them and they were in perfect condition a week after the wedding!
