Provided by YP.comWe recorded and mixed our first CD at Two Fish studio in 2003. Recording was fun and the mixing was quite professional. We were serviced by a gentleman named Luke. We returned in 2011 with excitement and high hopes to record and mix our second CD. Our time in the studio quickly turned nightmarish and ultimately we were completely ripped off. Wes (the owner) took our money and then rarely returned phone calls. When we did actually get appts and studio time he would just disappear mid-session after saying he would be the one handling our session. We would be left with college students that didn't know how to run the boards or the recording equipment. Equipment such as microphones and head sets was broke. We were so desperate as multiple sessions turned into wasted time and opportunity that eventually we had to try to record with broken headsets, microphones, you name it. The only equipment that reliably worked was the equipment we brought. When we asked for voices and instruments to be recorded on separate tracks we were brushed off. Finally, when the time came to mix, it was again impossible to get appts made. Phone calls went unreturned. We started on this endeavor in the spring and were very clear from Day 1 that our CD needed to be produced and ready for sale by July 15. Week after week of little progress and unreturned phone calls went by. Finally we had enough tracks recorded and we did a mixing session. When we came back for a second session, nothing from the first session seemed to have "stuck" or been saved. We had to start all over. Because tracks hadn't been recorded properly in the first place, it was all the more difficult. It was truly an ordeal that Wes made worse with his horrible customer service and complete lack of focus and professionalism. Finally, after listening to the first mixes/drafts and giving our feedback we were assured things would be fixed, our mid-July date was rapidly approaching and we needed to get the CD's made. Our drop dead date of early August was rapidly approaching. We had our CD's at the very last possible moment. Wes personally delivered them. That would seem like good customer service except that it should have never come to that. And then there was the actual product. It is absolute junk. What should have been our second wonderful CD to share with friends and family is an utter embarrassment. It sounds like we bought a couple hundred dollars of recording and mixing equipment and did it ourselves. We should have done that; it would have saved us thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of time. I have never submitted a formal customer complaint about any business or to anyone. Why now? Why Two Fish? It isn't about the money, heck I have been ripped off before. What it is about is: we are a little family band that does our music as a hobby and out of love and enjoyment. One of my Dad's most cherished dreams was to make a second CD. He scraped together thousands of dollars to make that a reality. He has nothing but total garbage, hours of wasted time and embarrassment to show for it. I know the BBB wants no foul or abusive language, but Wes and Two Fish Studios stole my father's dream. My Dad will NEVER be able to get this back. He will NEVER be able to get the hours back. How dare Wes be that careless and thoughtless, for this I truly hate Two Fish Studios. I don't think there is anyone or anything else in this world I would say that about. I want the whole world to know how Two Fish ripped us off and stole my Dad's dream. How dare they?? How dare they be so incompetent and deceitful?
