Provided by YP.comWe hired Mike Jacobs last year to put in new cement steps
for us. He was also supposed to tear out the old ones. He
pulled them off & tore off our brick & damage our porch that
was fine for 26 yrs. with no cracks, now has a big crack from
them pulling them off with a tractor instead of jack-hammering
them off like they were supposed to do. They damage our
existing concrete that was also fine by running over it with
their large equipment. We also paid them half up front for
the job which we asked them not to come back & never returned part of the money. We had to pay someone else to
come in & fix what they did. Also took a week to do this damage instead of the day or two it should have done. Don't
use him, he is an idiot & a crook, not very smart & very destructive.

Mr. Jacobs was hired to apply cultured stone to the front facade of our home. His work was so poor he voided the manufacturer's 50 year warranty and subjected our home to water damage. While he claims to have insurance, his insurance carrier told us there is a cooperation clause in his policy. In effect, if he refuses to cooperate with the insurance company's investigation, his coverage is void. To date he has not cooperated with the insurance company. He has refused to answer our questions and requests as well. He also did thousands of dollars in additional damage to our property, including breaking power lines and destroying our front lawn. We have had the property inspected by several experts including adjusters and engineers. All have confirmed that his work is substandard and/or not in compliance with local building codes. His lack of cooperation also brings into question the ethical nature of this person.
