Lexington Police Department is a division of the Village Of Lexington. Based in Lexington, Ohio, the department provides high level of safety, police coverage and public services through a local government body for the residents of the village, as well as those who work in and visit the city. Lexington Police Department serves approximately 4,200 residents with the authorization of 9 full-time and 8 part-time officers. Additionally, the department's services include fingerprinting, vehicle lockouts, Vacation House Watch program and the 911 systems. Program offerings comprise Civilian Observer program, Safety Town, D.A.R.E. program and 3rd Grade Safety Belt Program.
