“Swan Cleaners in Mansfield, Ohio completely RUINED MY WEDDING DRESS that was passed down to me from previous generations!! It is unfortunate for me to have to write this review, but the truth about this place must be told.

I took my wedding dress to Swan Cleaners because I wanted to support local business, and the price was right. My dress was clean and altered; the last step was just to have it pressed and ready for the big day. I took it in and picked it up just days before my wedding. I never thought to take it out of the bag until the morning of the wedding because I didn't want to risk getting wrinkles. I was absolutely horrified when I went to put it on just less than an hour before the ceremony was to begin, and I noticed several large burn marks down the front of the dress. I was so heartbroken; the emotions I experienced during that hour before are so real to me even today. It’s every brides nightmare. I ended up having no other choice but to go through my entire wedding day with a ruined dress because of this cleaning company.

After the wedding, I decided to email the manager and owner, Jeff Kent, with a calm, thought out email explaining the situation and my terrible experience on the wedding day. This was on 5/30/2013. At this point, I was just looking for an apology and was hoping Jeff would offer a full refund as the least he could do for ruining my dress. I heard nothing back, so a little less than a week later, on 6/3/2013, I wrote another email, this one more heated, demanding a refund for ruining my wedding dress, a huge apology, and with a threat that if I didn't hear from him, I would be writing the reviews his business deserved.

Today, I have reached my max level of patience. It is July, and I have still not heard from Jeff, so here is the review that I promised.

I am extremely upset and have spent hundreds of dollars trying to restore and repair my special, special wedding dress. BEWARE of this company. They need to be shut down for their poor business tactics and unfairness in treating customers as they have. I want to write this review, so you will not make the same mistake I did. Please be careful and NEVER EVEN STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE. I sure wish I could go back in time and do the same for myself....”

Jeanette who does "embroidery" is horrible. she's worked there for 3 months is a manager and wasn't trained properly which is the Swan Cleaners fault but I have an issue with this woman being a liar, rude, and horrible at her job. she messed y up a blanket I brought in. she kept saying that it would be ready a certain day then wouldn't have it ready. she misspelled my niece's name, messed up the spacing and then when I spoke to her about it she said it wasn't her problem and she didn't have time for it. um mmm I'm pretty sure it's her JOB! spoke with her bosses and they couldn't do anything to fix it but we rectified the situation. but I will never use Swan Cleaners ever again
