I took my 15 year old son in yesterday to have a cavity filled. . He got exrays and a very quick exam. We walked out of the office two hours later with a quote of $9000 (yes, THOUSAND) for a possible root canal, crown and three cavities. I won't ever go back. I called another dentist the next day who told me they could do all of that for a tenth of the cost.

Please do not go here!! I read reviews and had my reservations because of warnings. I usually use another dentist office that is amazing but hours don't fit my schedule. Monarch is open late so I scheduled a cleaning. Never in my life have I been told I am denied cleaning! I spent two hours getting X-rays and gum measurements 1-3 with a few 4's but still not bad. They came back and said it would be $245 to clean my teeth. Offered care credit to pay etc. but wouldn't clean my teeth unless I paid. I did my research and never has a dental office refused to clean teeth! But they did! Saying my teeth were bad and it needed done. They said a regular cleaning is just polishing and to do it means I have good teeth. What!? Needless to say, I left and will take a day off of work to have my dentist clean my teeth. Ridiculous!

WARNING FRAUD ALERT! This place sucks! i went for a cleaning and they said i needed 3 fillings. i went back got it done and was in pain for 2 months. they said they did not file the tooth down enough, my husband got a bill for 500$ and we have already paid 1200$ . our insurance sent us a statement stating they DID WORK HE DIDN'T NEED!... sounds like INSURANCE FRAUD TO ME!

Watch yourself, I was told a price which I paid in full at the time of procedure. Then 3 weeks later I got a bill from Monarch for $39.00, all they could say was Sorry you where given the wrong information when you paid.

I find it had to trust them and will never go back

Excellent service!!!! This place was wonderful!!! I recieved a detailed exam for the dentist and hygienist Nora. Nora was wonderful at explaining what gum disease is.

I did return for my deep cleaning for my gums and was treated wonderfully. I loved the back massager. I will be returning

this place sucks! took my 92 year old blind grandma for a cleaning, went to a xray room, then another room waited for a hour then back to the xray room then back to the other room waited another 20 min then dr came in, then to the actual cleaning room and waited 30 more min, there was only 1 dr and 1 hy. there. they told me with cleanings its usually 2.5 hours. OMG what i would have never came if they would have told me that when i made the apt for her. my poor grandma. when the hy. came in she said i need to lay you back, my grandma told her dont go to far cuz she will throw up, the hy. said well do you want me to get a head ache from bending over for you and layed her back my granmda choked on flem. i guess we got what we payed for since we used there coupon. i would have rathered paid $200 for my real dent to see her.

I am glad the appointment prob...

I am glad the appointment problem has been corrected, I have only experienced a 20 -30 min wait. The staff has been very helpful. I think both Drs. Carr and Ortiz are very gentle when providing their frist class dental service. I to selected Monarch because it is in my insurance network, but they should consider having special rates for seniors.

Don't waste your time with this place. my 1st appointment I waited 2 hours, called to take xrays and sat in the chair for another half hour for them to tell me they don't do retreat or surgical extractions. There's always a LONG wait no matter when your apt is and Dr. Carr, while seems nice, is very lazy and always seemed to act like I was a bother when I had questions and wouldn't even do a filling on a tooth that was causing pain till a month later. I told them office staff how unhappy and basically I'm switching dentists and all they can say to cure the matter is "would you like us to mail your chart to you?". Oh yea, mail the chart that has nothing in it because you never did any work... bottom line, STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! WASTE OF TIME AND THEY WILL NOT CARE IF YOU ARE EVEN IN PAIN. Dr Carr is lazy and is the head dentist. ZERO STARS!!!

That is the SAME thing that happened to me. I needed a tooth pulled and the dentist told me that they don't pull teeth and that i would have to get a surgeon to do it. They also told me I would have to have anti bacterial mouth wash and would not give me ANY treatment unless I agreed to what they wanted to do. ALL the things they "wanted" to do to me were NOT covered in my insurence and they refused to treat me,

This place is an absolute joke. My wife set up an appointment for each of our children one week apart. Monarch called to verify the appointment the day before the first appointment. When my wife showed up, the couldn't find an appointment for her and told her that the next available was a month away. My wife asked if they were serious, and the receptionist said 'yep'. We were warned, yet we tried.....NEVER AGAIN !!

I also was told I had cavities and gingivitis and would need a lot of expensive treatment. I have always had perfect teeth and never had any problems. I went to another dentist who confirmed this, my teeth and gums were perfect. Monarch even told me I needed to pay $60 for an anti-bacterial mouth rinse that my insurance would not cover. Anytime your insurance wont cover something its because its a worthless unnecessary treatment. The only good thing about this place is Dr. Carr and she needs to go elsewhere to save her reputation.

Bad from start to finish

I choose this dental office due to it being in network for me on my insurance and they charged me up front for more than my insurance agreed pricing. It took several calls and a few visits to get the difference of pricing for the work I had done refunded.

As far as the service goes...don't bother making an appointment. All five times I went in with an appointment I never waited less than an hour and a half. They overbook and overcharge. This is one of the poorest ran businesses and service providers I have ever experienced. Do yourself and your family members a favor and don't even waist your time with this place! If I could rate this with zero stars I would, the sad thing is that Dr. Carr the dentist is great at what she does and friendly. I recommend you go somewhere else Dr. Carr if you want keep any of your remaining clients.

Don't ever go there.

They will put your phone call on hold at least 10 minute everytime. They will make you wait at least 1 hour for your appointment. They will never return your phone call or respond your fax.

Do not expect any customer service or patient care from them. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.

On several occassions, Monarch Dental has submitted the wrong procedure codes to my insurance company. When I write a letter to them asking them to resumitt the correct information, I am told they never received my letter. Also, when I should be due a refund it takes several months and numerous calls to receive my refund. The first time took one and a half years to receive, the 2nd time it took four months to receive my refund. There is no customer service.
