Provided by YPmobileI went there to get my a/c fixed and exhaust leak fixed, along with a tune, on my 350z, i told him my price range was to stay under a grand, asked him for an estimate, it took him 3 days to say how much it would cost... He said that fixing the exhaust leak, fixing the a/c, and for some reason he added, a full tune up (i didnt ask for) and entire fluid change (i didnt ask for) he added it all up to $900... Without the tune, so he went on and on on what he thinks i need done on my car,
I told him to forget about everything and worry about the a/c and exhaust leak, he said it would be $500 (btw i got the a/c done for $300) so i said okay, and told him im dropping the car off friday, i dropped it off friday afternoon, and said i need it done by monday. He said no problem, and took the keys. Also telling me to come by and pick it up Monday around noon, so i did, and once i get there, the car is at the same exact spot where i left it friday, and he hasent done sh!t to it, and guess who isint there... Yeah. Dan was nowhere to be seen, so i found his cell, yelled at him and got my car back and the 500 i payed in advance back, this happend over a 2 week period, I will never go back to scarab perfomance again, nobody should, i would give him no stars if it were possible.
He even charged a buddy of mine $70 to change his oil on a Celica... It's a Sh!t place and work is done by a lazy owner that doesnt know much by the name of Dan Garcia

Provided by YP.comWe took my son's Nissan to here to get the engine replaced. My wife spoke with him and he assured us he could handle the job. A job that he said would take 3 weeks (he had items ahead of it) took 6 weeks. He assured us that everything would be replaced and the car would be "no problem after he finished we wouldn't have to mess with it again". we also asked him about a warranty and he said there was a warranty on his work. After getting the car back the timing was off. Took it back to Dan and he told my son he didn't hear anything that my son was imaging it. 3 months later we had to replace the water pump. Apparently that wasn’t included in the “I’ll replace everything with new stuff” statement.
5 months later the top end was destroyed.. The driver’s side intake cam had a bolt that was cross-threaded putting tension on the opposite bolt causing it to shear which caused the cam to stop spinning. We had it towed to another place and they begin to see the absolute BS work this guy had done. Duct tape on pipes. Air nipples to seal water lines, old gaskets - not new and holy $h!t the amount of silicone caulking he had used. He used so much that it clogged the water pipe which caused overheating . His prices were high for replacing some of these items , so in an attempt to save money we had purchased a couple items on ebay. He told my son those parts wouldn't fit- they were used by the final mechanic who said “he had no idea what Dan was talking about”. Then over-charging him for several other “new” parts. When the engine was re-done it was discovered the old parts were used- not that the new we had paid for. We contacted him several times and asked him to honor his warranty. He said the problem was with the guy who he had bore out the cylinders so the issue was not his to fix. However, Dan is the one that used duct tape, old parts he said were new, double charge us for parts, used the wrong parts and a boat-load of silicone.
He also said the work wasn’t up to par because my wife was” stressing him out by calling and asking when the car would be finished” Dude, seriously?!?
The other mechanic said the work was so bad that they referred to the car as “car-maggedon” Thank you Paul at Wire Works for the great job you did on a seriously messed up car!
Shortly thereafter he quit answering our calls or texts. We are in the process of filing a law suit.
Before you take a vehicle to him, please contact us. We have pictures, texts, receipts and statements from the final mechanic to validate the above. My son is young and should have handled this differently, i.e. come to us more for help/advice. However, that does not excuse the incompetent level of work done on his car by Dan.
