Manteno Middle School provides educational programs and extracurricular activities to students in grades five through eight. The school offers membership for speech, math, spelling and technology clubs. It supports several sports activities, such as basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and track and field. Manteno Middle School s core curriculum includes language arts, social studies, science, math and English. The school also offers classes in physical education, art, music and computers. Its library houses a collection of textbooks, atlases, encyclopedias, dictionaries, newspapers and magazines. Manteno Middle School is a member of the National Middle School Association and the Illinois Elementary School Association. Located in Manteno, Ill., the school is governed by Manteno Community Unit School District 5.
