The Dare Public Works Department s goal is to meet the needs of the citizens of DareCounty, N.C. in regard to solid waste disposal. This is achieved through the selling anddelivery of trash cans, resolving sanitation issues, addressing recycling problems andenforcing waste disposal guidelines. They also provide additional services such as largeitem pick-up, coordinating support efforts during adverse weather conditions andmosquito control. This department develops sanitation and recycling guidelines,procedures, and schedules and serves to coordinate operations between other public works departments. The director of the of the Dare Public Works Department is Edward Lee Mann.
