Worst experience I have ever had adopting a pet. I love my pet but they were terrible.

Needed reimbursement for medical and followed their procedures per the contract to request reimbursement. Apparently that only applies when they want it to apply. They told me it wasn't an option and that I could only see their doctor at one specific clinic but they never told me the clinic and there is no information on the Doctor anywhere online. The woman, Dedra, made up lies about me and my personal vet clinic. My vet called and asked for copies of my dogs surgery record and they refused to provide it to my vet.



This entire thing has legal nightmare written on it for them but they don't care. They only want to make money. I have to honestly say that I think the few (and far between) positive reviews of them are most likely created by their staff. Very vague with no detail.



They are heartless and don't care about the animals or following through with their contract.

Stolen kitten!



Happy Tails Rescue picked up a lost kitten on 9/30/14. His owner has been found, but they are refusing to answer her calls, or anyone's questions about Dexter the kitten. They have blocked our phone numbers, refused to answer our e-mails, and gone so far as to take down their facebook page.



If you have recently adopted a 4 month old grey domestic shorthair kitten, you may have Dexter! Please contact local authorities or the news, who have both been contacted.

********STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE***********WHERE TO BEGIN????????? We adopted a dog back in Feb - they claimed he ('Jake") was "PERFECT", great with kids, great with cats.....well not exactly! He chases the cats to the point they smash into the wall. Great with kids, depends on the hour, sometimes yes, but he does growl a lot around them. He's a 35-40 lb dog that jumps on your kitchen table! It's ridiculous! We've tried training him NOT to jump on our table but it hasn't work. While he's on the table he eats entire plates of food even though you're scolding him and speaking firmly to get down. The other day he ate an ice-cream sandwich off the table. I was irritated but more concerned with the wax paper he was about to swallow, I leaned down to keep him from choking and without warning he bit my wrist! We have a 13 mo old and a 4 yr old in the house and we decided it's time for him to go. We contacted HAPPY TAILS and they REFUSED to return a phone call! The owner LAURA WESTPHALL and her friend, co-worker not sure what she is, Sarah Page don't like to pick up phones. We left numerous voicemails and no-one seemed to care about any of this. Sarah finally responded via email (AFTER emailing the foster home he was in) when we said we were going to surrender him locally because no-one was getting back to me. Naturally, if they didn't get him back they don't make another $388 off of him! They responded (VIA EMAIL, in 7 days time and a dog bite involved NO PHONE CALL!) We wanted to tell them the story and they didn't seem to care. Sarah said "Dogs bite for different reason" - not in my house they don't! Not with 2 small children around!!! Within 12 hours they had him posted for adoption on their website and we still have the dog in our house!!! We haven't even surrendered him yet! Not only that, they have him listed GOOD WITH KIDS, GOOD WITH CATS WHICH ARE BOTH NOT TRUE! Also, they left his name what THEY called him not what we named him the past 4 months! They are obviously running this "business" for $$$$ in their pockets not because they care about the animals!!! We are VERY concerned that he will go to the next family & bite a little kid and torment the cats because they don't want to be honest!! We don't even want to bring him back to these people (We can't have him here) because they don't care, they just want to make a buck - unfortunately they said they have the right to sue us for $1000 if we don't return him TO THEM! It's a B.S. operation that is benefiting NO-ONE but the jerks running this place!!!! ******STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE*********
