Thomson Lamination Company was established in 1964 by the late John B. Thomson Jr. to produce laminations for electric motor manufacturers whose products were used in guidance and control, aerospace, medical equipment, process control and other industries requiring precision motor performance. Because of the critical nature of the laminations used by this segment of the motor industry, an unusually high level of engineering liaison and personal customer service is required to service these customers, characteristics which seemed to be lacking in the then existing lamination suppliers. Mr. Thomson, therefore, formed TLC to provide both the quality products and customer service, which have been the hallmarks of the company from day one. Still located at its original site within a modern industrial park in Maple Shade, N.J., convenient to both Philadelphia Airport and the New Jersey Turnpike, the company has expanded its facilities and capabilities through the years to keep pace with increasing customer requirements for both critical dimensional control and electrical characteristics. To control all elements relating to product integrity, TLC designs, fabricates and assembles all production tooling in-house.
