Publix Marathon is a great store if you like old rotten produce. I have never seen such a poor excuss for a produce department. I have to go with whatever is available at the time. More often than not the bannanas are old and dried up or way too green. So green in fact they skip yellow all together, and go straight to brown. I feel the real problem lies in the fact that the employees take no pride in their work or their store. I have personally seen a clerk poor out a box of apples into the bin as if he was emptying a bucket of water. Its hard to find an apple without flat sides, corners, or shapes straight out of a fifth grade geometry lesson. I have seen a lot of things in this department, I have never seen a clerk rotating any fruits or vegtables out. They might be able to cut down the fruit fly population if they simply rotated out the bad fruit every now and again. Unfortunatly we have to shop here because the only other alternitive is nasty in every respect.

PUBLIX IS REALLY THE ONLY MARKET WE HAVE IN TOWN. I HAVE GIVEN THEM A FAIR RATING NOT BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ADEQUATE,AND FRIENDLY STAFF. INSTEAD THE RATING STEMS FROM THE FACT THAT THIS PUBLIX HAS POOR ORDERING AND RESTOCKING PRACTISES. WHEN YOU DISCOVER OR BUY A PRODUCT THAT YOU AND OTHER PATRONS SEEM TO ENJOY, YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT AS LONG AS TWO WEEK (FACT) OR LONGER FOR THAT PRODUCT TO REAPPEAR ON THE SHELF, IF IT COMES BACK AT ALL I.E. GLACIAL VITAMIN WATER GREEN TEA OR THE PUBLIX BRAND OF ORGANIC CHICKEN SAUSAGE THAT MAKES A BRIEF APPEARANCE ABOUT ONCE A MONTH. WE ENJOY EATING CADBERRY DARK CHOCOLATE AND THAT SPACE HAS BEEN VACANT FOR THREE WEEKS. THE LAST COMPLAINT IS THAT PRICES AT A MOMENTS NOTICE, SOAR, I.E. THE PUBLIX 99% FAT FREE GROUND TURKEY WENT FROM $5.00 PER POUND TO $7.00 PER POUND IN JUST ONE DAY. IT STAYED AT $7 FOR TWO WEEKS AND NOW IS BACK TO $5. LIKE I SAID IT IS THE ONLY STORE IN TOWN.
