Dr. Robert J. Abbiati is enthusiastic about the practice of dentistry and provides patients with the highest quality in customized care. Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, Dr. Abbiati grew up in Franklin Lakes, where he attended Bergen Catholic High School. After high school, he attended Bucknell University and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and East Asian studies. He also holds a Master in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University. Additionally, Dr. Abbiati has a Post-Baccalaureate in Biology and Chemistry from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fl. Dr. Abbiati received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the prestigious University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles, California. He then pursued an advanced General Practice Residency at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine while working at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. He has taken advanced training in short-term orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, implants, and periodontics. He focuses treatment on the latest advances in dentistry. He was a 2012 Academy of General Dentistry Senior Award Winner from University of Southern California. Dr. Abbiati was recently awarded America's Top Dentist 2015 and featured in the Naples Daily News and the Marco Eagle. Prior to moving to Marco Island for his practice, Dr. Abbiati managed two dental clinics in the Florida panhandle. He actively provides pro bono dental care to veterans and their families, and the underserved in Bronx, NY and in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Abbiati also has conducted missions to Belize and Guatemala. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and West Coast District Dental Association.
