We were renting a place on Marco island. We went to the beach and decided to grab a drink and use the rest room. On the way back from the bathroom we were stopped and asked if we were staying at the hotel near the bar. I said we we just using the bathroom. Tom, the potty patrol man responded "not anymore" and told us we could not use the rest room. I have no idea what kind of policy this is but its not one good for business. I called the manager over and explained that this is totally unacceptable. When I told him we had a house on the island, he started asking us personal questions about what we do for a living. Absolutely inappropriate. Drinks are subpar for the price. The service was questionable, and despite Florida building code, the bathroom is apparently off limits. Not worth the visit and absolutely rude.
