We gave Agape a try and they quickly disappointed. The nurse assigned to us slacked on follow up from the start. Once she did visit and we got the ball rolling, we'd been conversing via text then she simply quit responding. When this was addressed as concerning the nurse put it back on us like we were demanding an immediate response from providers and that it's not a realistic expectation. We know that but nothing for days?? I just thought we were texting in the beginning to get things going and she went silent with no context as to why. It took four texts, a call to the office and an email to two assistants to get any kind of response from anyone at Agape. We were told to mark a text as urgent so "that way I will respond." What? We are dealing with ALS, a brutal and isolating disease yet they have no compassion for it, nor do they exhibit common courtesy with this kind of behavior. (Doesn't seem as though they have experience with ALS at all.) This company's name means brotherly or Christian love, yet that core belief is not supported by this nurse's behavior. To be fair, the front office staff (Tade and Jeff) were warm and friendly and tried to do a good job. After emailing the nurse's boss and the owner of the company, we heard nothing from anyone but the nurse. Please do yourself and your family a favor, save a lot of frustration and find another company. There are people out there that care, you just have to keep fighting and advocating in order to find them.
