All of the reviews are spot on. My father has been a resident in good standing for 4 years. as the result of strokes he now needs live in care giver. I decided to move in to help and since then I have been bullied and harassed by management. The buildings are run down, amenities are few. The apartment is remote and public transportation needs to be improved. Not worth the price.

I was a resident in Ashton Arbors as well. I got out when I couldn't take it anymore! During my stay, I saw a lot of things that completely upset me. I could not believe the level of immaturity of the residents and management staff. When I initially came to look at the apartments, the management team was incredibly nice. However, after I moved in, their attitudes completely changed. They became complacent and uncaring when it came to residents' concerns regarding maintenance in the units.
I see the outside of the building being worked on regularly. But, whenever it rains, mold and mildew shows up around within the units and common areas. Also, when I submitted a maintenance request, it took the staff 3 months to correctly repair the situation. During this length of time, I was unable to use anything in my home. And there are constant complaints when someone washes or cleans up their home "after hours". Apparently, doing this disturbs the other residents. But, these are people who do not work or are retired. How is this disturbing them? And my family never felt comfortable visiting. The residents constantly complained about grandchildren, even those who were being watched.

I tried calling their corporate offices in regards to the favoritism and lack of professionalism from the staff. It was like calling on them. Nothing was done to correct the situation. I am so happy to get out of there. The female residents fought over the available males, the manager has favorite residents who tattle like everyone are children. All in all, an absolutely ridiculous environment. So please beware before moving in there!

Pass This One Up

I became a resident of these senior apartments last year. I thought they looked so nice on the outside. They said they were an active senior community, and some seniors moved here. It seems people stay for a short visit at the Ashton Arbors but leave very disappointed. Management has changed 7 times since the building's inception only 4 years ago. Staff seems nice at first, but once they get you signed in, they become judgmental, and selective as to the tenants they prefer to stay. I saw a couple of things that were unnerving.

First tenants applications were left for all to see, out in the lobby on a table. Personal and financial info galore left out in the open. Second, kids living there pulling the firebell alarm. Lots of false alarms here.

Parties with lots of old old food from restarauts throwaway batches. Fights between the residents. Some of them physical, and some of the managers here do not know how to properly resolve conflicts between neighbors.

Putting down the incorrect amounts on tenants applications for how much income they make. The IRS and Social Security has been contacted on this.

Last. Strangers walking on the property grounds, and sometimes waltzing inside the buildings that are supposed to be locked.

The construction of the property is so bad residents cannot enjoy a quiet evening because either you get complained on for taking a snooze too loud, or flushing the toilet. The bathrooms are along the walls out in the hallways and you can hear everything on the john. Plus the smell of the latrine wafts out into the hallways even downstairs by the leasing office.

The construction is unsound and lots of ceiling cracks and floors are sinking in with large holes up on the floors.

My take is to pass up Ashton Arbors and look somewhere else.
