Atlantic Relocation Systems was launched in Atlanta, in 1966 by Ted Alger. The company officially began as an agent for Wheaton Van Lines. Within four years, it had grown to become one of the largest Wheaton agents. In 1970, Atlantic became an agent for NorthAmerican Van Lines and by the mid-1980s the company had expanded coast to coast and had risen to become one of the largest agent groups for NorthAmerican. During the 1990s Atlantic continued to grow, eventually moving the company affiliation from NorthAmerican to Atlas Van Lines in 1997. This conversion was one of the largest van line agent conversions in history. The services that Atlantic offers include household relocation, electronics/exhibits, office and industrial, international relocation, warehousing/distribution and record storage. Other locations are in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Illinois and Texas.
