My parents, who are in their 70's, have shopped at Burger's for over 30 years. They were there this afternoon looking for hanging baskets and other flowers when my father noticed they had many dead and dying plants sitting off to the side in full view of customers. He thought it looked bad for business so, as a suggestion, mentioned to the owner they might want to move them elsewhere. She proceeded to flip out screaming that they were working their butts off and didn't have enough help. He was only offering a customer's perspective as to something he thought they might want to take care of. The warning for my parents to leave the property and never come back was unnecessary - they wouldn't go back if it were the last place to shop in town!

Absolutely shocked. Just had the worst experience of my LIFE at Burger's Market on Canton Road. Bought 5 hanging baskets - $163 worth of merchandise - and hubby started loading them in my car while I paid. I tell blond girl working there he's doing that (since she had not offered any help to us) and she flips out and hollers all over the store not to put them in the car before they're paid for.... What am I doing standing in line, may I ask? About to pay! Long story short - she kept on, and I finally made her refund the entire purchase and will NEVER shop at Burger's again. Not to mention my hundreds of Facebook friends now know. Whatever. I hate to support the big merchants, but when the local ones act this way, what choice has a girl got?

There is no comparison when considering the quality of produce you'll find a Burger's v. a chain grocery store. And the prices are more than fair. One of my favorite local finds. Check out the local-made products and flowers too - beautiful!
