Corruption runs deep at Coast Dental. Smiles and pleasantries until you go to pay the bill.

The gist of it? The staff is nice , the office is clean, and their dental work is fine. However, all of that goes out the window the moment you finish your appointment and visit the billing / accounting lady.

never before have I seen a company that has so bluntly and consistently put the bottom line before their clientele. See a handful of below examples. (Multiple more instances of shadiness, but limited to 2k characters for YP review.)

1. I had a dental procedure performed. I was provided an itemized list of the costs for everything, I looked over it, removed a few superfluous items ($100 elec toothbrush, etc), and signed.

When I got to billing afterwards...there was a problem. I was informed that the itemized bill I was provided and signed was infact "OLD PRICES", and what I actually owed was substantially higher. After almost an hour of negotiating with the billing lady, she finally agreed to honor the original price I signed for.

2. My wife went there for invisiline. (braces) She went for a consultation, and was met with $2,000 price tag. She balked at the high cost but was informed that they had a payment plan and not to worry.

She signed all the paperwork for their payment plan, and came home to tell me the good news. After digging further into the details, it was infact NOT a payment plan, but they had signed her up for a high APR credit card.

3. After her current plastic retainer started to crack, we called in immediately to set up replacement options. (Covered under original deal) We called for over two months, talking to multiple people who all promised to call back with details. (None a single one called back)

Months later, they requested my wife come in for another dental-mold before they could provide a new retainer, but that it would still be free. We arrived at appointment...and had a two hour wait, and then were also told it was in-fact NOT free.
