Provided by YP.comI've purchased a few guns from them over the years but despite being a Class 3 dealer, they don't run their range from an NFA friendly standpoint. While shooting there recently, I was pulled from the firing line when I pulled out an NFA item. The RSO then demanded to see my ATF forms stating it was their policy to inspect forms. I politely declined (only the ATF can demand to see forms) and then promptly placed my firearm away apologizing for violating their policy, which wasn't posted anywhere by the way. Problem solved I thought when about ten minutes later a counter person came in and asked if I was the person refusing to show my tax forms. I explained that yes I was but that I put the firearm away. He explained that putting it away wasn't going to be good enough, if I didn't remove it from the premises, I couldn't shoot there.
Their range, their rules, I removed myself and the offending item. However if you're charging me for something based on a block of time, please don't interrupt me for a hidden policy.
If you've spent the time and money to educate yourself and acquire NFA items, do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. It doesn't feel if the Georgia Firing Line respects the time it takes you to do so.

Provided by YPmobileThe range is not too bad, wish they would use a different target system in stea of some paper clips with no backing to steady the target... Plus the guys behind the range counter seem clueless half the time, new or not, they should be trained more before taking customers... Always correcting them for charging me for eyes and ears.... Also purchased a firearm and sights to have installed, the 'gunsmith' looked and said no problem to put the sights on and I could pick it up in a few days... No problem, except they called me to come pick up the firearm and said the smith couldn't put the sights on... Basically s.o.l.... Sucks because I bought it based on the fact they said they would install the sights.... For the most part everyone is friendly, I just think the ones running the range counter need more training all the way around...

Provided by YP.comThese folks are terrific! Shortly after purchasing my first firearm just a few months ago, and searching for a place that offers both quality training classes and a firing range, I had the good fortune of finding Georgia Firing Line, and ultimately, attending their first-level training class (of several levels). Not only were the instructor and the training class excellent -- which included both classroom time and hands-on training with our own guns (and/or those provided by GFL) -- but the entire STAFF was incredibly friendly, respectful, helpful, knowledgeable, and informative about everything regarding their industry. And, just as importantly, while these folks are a LOT of fun to work and interact with, they continually maintain their high standards of professionalism and customer service. And, last but certainly not least, Georgia Firing Line offers a huge selection of firearms, accessories, etc., and if, for some reason, they don't have what you're looking for, they're more than happy to order it for you. Needless to say, I'm a fan of GFL, and look forward to spending a lot of practice-time there, and attending all levels of training classes that they offer.

Provided by YP.com21-March-2010 I was forced to give these guys 1 star to get the review to work. If minus 5 stars was available that would have been my choice. Go to Wild West or Bull's Eye or the new Sandy Springs Club when it opens. Today was my final trip to Nick's. The rude attitudes of owner and staff blew past the tipping point today. What an absolutely disastrous experience all around. Kids and wife now hate guns and gun shops. Unless you are really tight with these guys, avoid Nick's like the plague. This is one of those instances where no matter how good a customer you think you are, you can be treated like crap if that's the nature of the owner and staff. I was and it is. I took my wife, two young daughters and 15 year old son to the range in order to 1) teach them the basics with a Sig 45 I bought from Nick a few weeks back, 2) try out a Sig 9mm for purchase and 3) plop down $250 for the annual range membership since we have begun to shoot more often. I've spent well over $1000 at Nick's in the last three months. Stupid me. The rented 9mm Sig jammed several times [had to release the slide with much greater velocity than my Sig 45]. As I was clearing the last jam, The Azz-Clown in the lane to my left appeared to be making some very strong comments to my 15 year-old son behind me and and I asked what the problem might be. The Azz-clown condescendingly yelled that I was pointing the 9mm at him and should focus down range. I said "sorry" even though I'm absolutely certain that I NEVER pointed the 9mm past the 10.30 position. I'm no Daniel Boone, but I've got the basics down. After I finished the mag, I reloaded to let my wife have a turn. I tapped [not poked or punched] The Azz-Clown on the shoulder and suggested that if he wished to correct my shooting etiquette, please address me and not my 15 year-old. That's it. The A-C bows up and immediately ran to the owner and staff and without one single word to or from me or anyone in my family as to what happened, we were kicked out. A humiliating and humiliated little Parade. When I met The A-C, the owner and the rest of the posse in the store, I asked exactly what it was I had done to deserve to be kicked out without recourse. I apparently - unseen by wife, kids, anyone else anywhere, got up in The A-C's face, threatened him and wouldn't let him walk past as he went to tell the owner that some 51 year-old suburbanite was spraying the range and was in some sort of 'roid rage. In front of his wife and kids to boot. Bizarre-land and a complete lie. The A-C was obviously a [more] regular customer than I am/was and/or friend...that's fine. I can deal with the fact that the staff and owner aren't "people persons"...but to be embarrassed in front of a shop full of people without having ANYTHING allowed in my defense is beyond stupidity. Oh - but the good owner said "No problems, you can come back and use the range and all..." ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Again, go to Wild West or Bull's Eye or the new Sandy Springs Club when it opens. Unless you want to be treated like crap. - mj
