I can't give them a zero or I would. I used to love this place. I always knew the owner was a shady, miserable person, but he got some unusual stuff and was cheap. Sadly, after a couple of purchases I found out just how awful this person was. I needed a ring fixed that I originally purchased from him for $200. It had a bent prong and a bent band. A dust particle of a diamond was missing too, though I wasn't fussed about it. They called me and I didn't return their call, forgot honestly. Two weeks after I dropped it off I went in to pick it up. Of course he hadn't touched it, which didn't bother me. I should have called them back. What did bother me is that he told me my repairs would be $125. When I laughed and said, "I should have known" the owner proceeded to, literally, verbally assault me. Asking me repeatedly if there "was something wrong with me". The only words out of my mouth up until this point were "I should have known". After his accosting was complete, he told me to take it somewhere else. None of this really bothered me, what does is the sad and broken faces of his wife and young lady working there. Over the years that I've been browsing, I've interacted with his wife on several occasions and she's always been a pleasant, somewhat spacey lady. Now I suspect that there may be other reasons for her checked out demeanor. I'm a fiction writer and while I will never ever step foot in this establishment again, my $2000 or so that I've spent over the last few years may just serve as a decent muse.
