We attended a production here with our kids and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. It's a "hole in the wall" place with paint peeling, etc. The play was not very together. It had several false starts and more errors with the backstage, lighting & sound people than the actors. They didn't utilize any of the curtains so the changing of scenery and props occurred while we all watched (?) The actors were kids and all did great but I would have liked to see them perform at a much better place with better support staff who actually knew what was going on. I noticed that there were Goodwill tags still attached to a couple of the costumes! This was way overpriced for what we experienced and the Blackwell Playhouse is not a place we will consider returning to. I just hope those kids find a better venue to develop and share their talents.
