Provided by YP.comI have been a client of Marietta Eye Clinic since moving to this area in 2010. Their convenient location made the long exam times an even trade off for me.
That is no longer the case. The lenses in my glasses broke. When I contacted Marietta Eye Clinic for replacing them I was informed it would take almost a week to get them replaced. I couldn’t wait that long so I went to Lens Crafters (one hour service). I requested Marietta Eye Clinic fax a copy of my prescription to Lens Crafters. They took their time faxing it (almost an hour with 2 phone calls to prod them over that period) and then they made a note on the prescription that “RX Expired”. My prescription was only 1 year old (12/30/11 exam date). I was at Lens Crafters on 1/3/13. It seems that Marietta Eye Clinic has an internal policy that prescriptions are only valid for 1 year despite GA state law says that the prescription is good for 2 years. They would not extend the prescription for the couple of days it had expired unless I ordered the lens through them (yes – they said that). Lens Crafter could not fill the prescription without Marietta Eye Clinics approval. I asked Marietta Eye Clinic if it was worth losing my business over a couple days extension of the prescription – the answer is yes, they would not extend it. I have excellent eye health, my prescription hasn’t changed in a very long time so there are no health concerns, like diabetes or family history, to make it necessary for me to have an exam every year.
Shoddy business practices and indifferent attitudes make this business not worth going to.

Provided by YP.comGenerally, the doctor was great very nice and the exam was good. The only and biggest issue I had, was with the contact portion. I was handed contacts while I was there and they asked if I wanted to order contacts. I inquired about the price and was told $86 so I went ahead an ordered them since my insurance covers $120 worth of contact costs. When I come back to pick up the contacts they tell me that my total is $86. When I ask why, they go on about the contact fitting exam price and the contact price and said that AFTER my insurance covered a portion my total was $86.
I don't appreciate shady practices in order to get you to buy contacts from them. Stay AWAY from this type of shady business conduct.
