Against my better judgment I patronized The Place once or twice a week for a few months. Friday and Saturday nights are loud, very crowded, smoke filled and just the right place for those who thrive on that sort of thing but it’s not for me. I preferred going on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night when there were just a very few other customers. The food and entertainment were ok and the cigarette smoke was minimal. I never really liked the idea of patronizing a place like The Place that has a long list of RULES posted at the front door. Brake any of their long list of Rules and you will be approached by “SECURITY” and asked to leave. Security makes themselves very visible on crowed nights and security is there but undercover on other nights. I never broke any of their rules and was always on my best behavior. One night I was told I must give the bartender my credit card even when I told her I preferred to pay cash as I ordered. I promptly but reluctantly gave the bartender my credit card. Other nights my drinks were being “auto replaced” without me asking for another drink. The bartender was certainly not helping me space nor restrict the number of drinks I’d consume even though I was riding my motorcycle that night. But even I was eventually approached by security and asked to leave The Place. His exact words were, “Another customer, (who was not even there that night,) has reported she is not comfortable around you so you should take some time off, (from here.)” I was shocked and appalled. I was given no further explanation except that he was just following instructions from the owner. I left my phone number and requested a personal meeting with the owner. I was never given the opportunity to state my case nor was I contacted by the owner. In my opinion, there is just something not right about the management of The Place. I can promise you I will Never step foot in That Place again!
