Location: In the front of the Avenue, where Cheeky used to be.
Atmosphere: Casual and laid back. They have a nice patio where you can sit and sip your problems away, while watching the lovely EC traffic.

Food/Beverages: They offer beer and cocktails, but are known for their margaritas and drinks that feature tequila. I ordered the duo for an appetizer and that features two of your choice of queso, guacamole or salsa. They also have a trio, which is all three combined. I do not know what seasoning they sprinkle on their chips, but it is like crack to me. (btw. Drugs are bad) Anyhow, I love that seasoning and it really makes the chips super flavorful. I also ordered the cantina skillet, where you can add your own toppings and proteins of your choice. I have never really been into Tin Lizzy’s when I first dined at their Perimeter location, but now I know why they are so busy. Their skillet was amazing and is served over yummy and flavorfully spiced rice. If there is one thing that you need to get it is their QUESO!!!! I usually do not like queso, but my friend wanted some so we decided to share the duo. I got my guacamole and she got her queso. So, I tried a bit of the queso because she was raving about it and boy was she right. Their queso is downright delicious! I dipped it with everything and poured it all over my cantina skillet. Sounds a bit gross, but don’t knock it until you try it. I also ordered a side of plantains, which are my favorite and guess what? The queso tasted delicious with it too.

Service: Our server was super friendly and attentive. He even shared some information about plantains and how in the latin culture plantains are served at every meal.

Overall: I am so stoked that we finally have a decent mexican restaurant in EC. They might not be your traditional and authentic mexican restaurant, but they are doing their food justice. Everything was delicious and I will definitely be back soon.
