Joseph Wheeler High School, located in Marietta, Ga., is a part of the Cobb County School District. Founded in 1965, it enrolls more than 1,900 students in grades nine through 12. It offers a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, computer science, social studies and science, and advanced placement courses in all major subjects, including business and technology. It also offers a center for advanced studies magnet program where students from grades eight onwards can take up an advanced curriculum. The school s campus includes a media center, science classrooms, tennis courts, swimming pool and a fitness center. Extracurricular programs include more than 30 clubs, literary publications and performing arts groups and over 35 athletic teams.
