I purchased four new tires from Sterling. After about six months I developed a “shimmy” while driving. Two different alignment people, one of them Sterling had sent me to, said I had a bad tire. Evan, who owns Sterling, refused to look at the tire or even contact his alignment guy to find out what the problem was.
A Sterling employee scratched three of my rims while rotating tires. When I told Evan about it, his response was “steel wasn’t meant to be chromed.” The rims are aluminum!
At interstate speeds my SUV was swerving and jerking on the road. Sterling just started replacing stuff on the front-end suspension. After $600 of unnecessary front-end work they finally found the problem – it was a REAR wheel bearing that went bad. Evan charged me another $300.00 to fix the actual problem.
