Bahr Brothers is a foundry dedicated to providing rotor rebuilds and vacuum pump testing and rebuilds. The company s products include paper mill replacement parts, custom castings and aluminum smelting parts. Its Marion, Ind., manufacturing facility features a pattern shop, a spectrometer laboratory, machine shop, furnace room and cleaning room. The company started nearly a century ago as Bahr Bros. Manufacturing, when demand for an easy-to-change, low-cost replacement component for a paper mill machine prompted the founders to open a plant in 1909. Today, Bahr Brother s product mix is approximately 70 percent general casting work and 30 percent paper mill work.
