I graduated from IU School of Dentistry in 1984. I started a private practice in Indianapolis and grew it for 13 years. Married an amazing woman (Shanda) along the way and we share four boys, now they are adults. I convinced my wife that something was missing in my life, the call to duty. I sold my cosmetic dental private practice and joined the US Air Force in 1997. Since active duty, I continue to serve in the US Air Force Reserves, and serve at Wright Patterson, AFB in Dayton, OH. I have now retired after 21 years of active military service in both reserves and active duty. On the private practice side, I have bounced around the idea over the last ten years of starting my own practice again, hoping one of my children would go into the trade, but that didn't happen. I decided I was tired working in a group setting. I really enjoyed all the other dentist, but my calling was to serve the public and not a group. My wife and I decided to do something that could be good for the community. The problem was, where to go. We drove to Warsaw, Ft. Wayne, Huntington, Noblesville and we had to drive through Marion to take our youngest son back and forth to Ball State. Every time we passed through this town I kept getting this feeling deep inside me saying "This is the place"! Quite a feeling...but it was not me making the call this time, nor was it my wife. It was God telling me that this is where I am to practice. This is the community where we are to make a difference. I have no reason to disbelieve Him. We are here! Please join us.
