Built in 1793 by Colonel John Carson, the Historic Carson House today is a privately owned history museum that is open to the public. This historic plantation home is filled with furnishings typical of the upper-class of that period. Exhibits and artifacts describe not only the influential Carson family but the culture and history of the region and state.
