I have been taking my children to eat here since it opened. At first twice a week. Here lately my other family members and I have noticed a change in the food. Burnt hamburgers etc but the situations would always be corrected. I like to give people a chance and support small businesses. Tonight I took my children to Fresh Catch and their food came out separately (not good with 3 year old twins). Ten minutes later my steak came out, I noticed it was pink on top and I ordered it medium well. As soon as I cut into the steak blood filled my plate. I took it back to the bar and showed the owner and instead of apologizing he told me he would throw the same steak back on the grill or i could take my kids and leave. I requested my ticket to pay for my kids meals but he denied me this over five times. He embarrassed me in front of the entire restaurant. I told him not everyone wants a free meal. I stood at the register until he allowed me to pay for my children's meal. I am a single mother and don't always have an opportunity to take my children out even though this place is close to home I would much rather drive to Alexandria for a good meal without being treated as if I am less than human.
